With Roman Kreuziger taking Switzerland win let’s hope this sees the beginning of the end of Drugs in the Tours |

Roman Kreuziger took overall victory in the Tour of Switzerland, becoming its youngest-ever champion at 22. From all I’ve heard and read it is the older guard of cycling that things that drugs are a necessary part of the sport I love. With a Contador, a youngster winning last year’s Tour De France and an even younger youngster winning the Tour of Switzerland then fingers crossed for a drug free Tour in a couple of weeks. The sport needs some good publicity. |

Younger crowd, let’s cut out the drugs

Let’s hope so but people are already waiting for the next scandal. For example, I see you’ve seen the thread on tazeworld: http://tazeworld.wordpress.com/2008/06/19/whos-next/
Unfortunately, it will take a long time to (re)build any credibility for pro cycling.
