So can Victoria Pendleton win gold in this year’s Olympics. Victoria believes she is better prepared for her second Olympics than she was in Athens where she considered retirement after finishing ninth in the Sprint.
She should do, since then she has won the world title three times. Back in 2004 she had just finished studying, she was less prepared and didn’t know what to expect.
The sad thing for track and road cycling is that many of the women’s events have been replaced by mountain biking and even BMX. There is no women’s Keirin, where she was second in March at the worlds.
She says; ‘if there were more events I’d do them’
I say, if there were more events she’d win them
I think she is a great chance for some British golds.
